The Stable Families Initiative (SFI) is an intentional and targeted response to families who are repeat emergency shelter users. SFI was launched in 2014 as a 2-year pilot program with three primary goals:
1)Reduce the number of families in emergency shelter; 2) Reduce the number of families returning to emergency shelter; and 3) Increase family stability for pilot participants.
